Biology : Fleshy plant with long, ramose, creeping stems to 6 m long; to 20 cm long; leaves narrow.
Ecology : Coastal, at the limit of the tide; principally on sandy soil. Comprises 3 vars. in Africa; but not very clearly defined.

Biol./Eco : Herb; distribution: Naturalised in Madagascar.
