Biology : Wooly erect perennial dioecious herb, frequently woody and branches prostrate or suberect, often woody at base, to 35 cm with long ascending branches.
Ecology : Very variable ecology; dry thorn-bushland on finer soils (Kenya); soil heavy or more commonly light and sandy; 0-1900 m alt. Drier parts of the tropics and subtropics of the Old World, adventive elsewhere.
