Biology : Epiphytic or epilithic herb; pseudobulbs 0,7-2 cm apart, 2-leaved, ± ellipsoid, 0,8-1,8x0,4-0,9 cm; leaves oblong-lanceolate, 1,6-11x0,4-1 cm; inflorescence 5-14 cm long, 6-25-flowered; rachis 4-angled, ± zigzag, 2-6,5 cm long; bracts ± deltoid, 5-8 mm long, straw-coloured to orange-red; flowers whitish or rose pink; sepals ovate-elliptic, 4-6x2-3 mm, purplish to white; petals rhomboid, 1,5-2x1,5-2 mm, spotted violet; lip yellow, erect, 1,5-1,7x1-1,2 mm.
Ecology : (Shady) forest; in outer part of tree crowns; sometimes on boulders in open vegetation; on lichen- and moss-covered branches of small shrubs, with B. parvum; 700-2350 m alt.
