Biology : Epiphytic or lithophytic herb; stem 0,5-2 cm long; leaves 4-6, ensiform, 1,5-3,8x0,2-0,4 cm, upper surface deeply sulcate; inflorescences 3-8 cm long, dense, 5-26-flowered; bracts ovate, acuminate, 1,2-3,1 mm long, smaller than flowers, brown to black; flowers 2,1-4,6 mm long; lip triangular, 1,3-2,3x0,7-1,3 mm; spur cylindrical, 1,2-1,9 mm long.
Ecology : Humid forest, permanently or temporarily flooded; evergreen rain-forest; dry forest at edge of gallery forest on upper branches of Uapaca togoensis in Berlinia forest; coffee and cocoa plantations; shrubby fringes of inselbergs; on branches in the canopy of Aningeria altissima, Antiaris toxicaria forest; also on isolated trees; in mosses and lichens; on rocks near rivers and waterfalls; on twigs and branches of forest trees and scrub; on bushes and small trees; 100-2400 m alt.
