Biology : Epiphytic herb forming large (pendent) masses; stems slender, woody, 8-70 cm long with smooth compressed straggling roots; leaves numerous, grass-like, linear, 7-20x0,4-0,6 cm, twisted at base to sheaths 1,4-2 cm long; inflorescences 3-4 mm long, 1-3-flowered; flowers greenish-yellow becoming dirty-orange; bracts ovate, 1-2 mm long; pedicel and ovary 6 mm long; sepals ovate-elliptic, 4-6x c. 2 mm; petals lanceolate, acute, 4-5x1-2 mm; lip 4-5 mm long, 6-7 mm wide, 3-lobed in apical half, with basal fleshy auricles; side lobes filiform, 3-4 mm long; midlobe triangular, c. 2 mm long; spur slender, 9-12 mm, straight.
Ecology : Rain-forest; evergreen forest; riverine forest; Ericetum; widespread; 1900-3000 m alt.
