Biology : Terrestrial herb 9-25 cm tall, long-hairy; tuber ovoid, 0,8-2,5x0,6-1,5 cm; basal leaf 1, appressed to ground, suborbicular, 2-8 cm long and wide, glabrous beneath, margins ciliate; stem with 1-2 distant sheaths; inflorescence 2,5-12 cm long, loosely 3-15-flowered; flowers spreading, resupinate, pale green, sweet-scented at night; bracts lanceolate, 5-11 mm long; pedicel and ovary 11-20 mm long; sepals hairy outside, ovate, 4-15x2-6 mm; dorsal sepal erect, laterals spreading; petals 2-lobed from near base; upper lobe erect, curved, lanceolate-linear, 3-12x1-3 mm; lower lobe linear, curved upwards, horn-like, glabrous, 6-15 mm long; lip 6-20 mm long, 3-lobed from near base, lobes linear; midlobe 6-12 mm long; side lobes upcurved, longer than midlobe; spur pendent, glabrous, 6-27 mm long, apical half swollen.
Ecology : Brachystegia woodland on mossy banks in shady gully; rocky escarpment, rocks; 700-1900 m alt.
