Ecology : Dry grassy and rocky places; old cultivations; roadsides; bushland; open woodland; humid or swampy soils; sandy flats; Acacia savanna; Brachystegia woodland; floodplain grasslands; sandy dunes near the sea; lateritic hardpan; 0-1580 m alt.
