Ecology : Hard bare pans and very mixed Brachystegia woodland; often amongst rocks or in marshy places; grassland surrounding peaty bog; grassland, particularly short seasonally waterlogged on sandy soil; lateritic dambos;...etc...
  Much variation in habit, with somewhat the habit of a small Phyllanthus.
  Comprises 2 vars.
