Biology : Erect, somewhat spreading or almost procumbent, intricately branched, sticky subshrub, 0,4-1,5 m tall; or tufted pyrophyte, 7-35 cm tall, with a thick woody rootstock;
Ecology : Brachystegia, Pterocarpus woodland (mostly seasonally burnt); sometimes by marshes and streamsides; grassland; on sandy, rocky or gravelly ground; bushland; 900-1800 m alt.
