Biology : Erect or ascending herb, hoary- or somewhat tawny-silvery tomentellous, 0,45 m tall or more from a woody rootstock; stem and branches firm, sub-terete.
Ecology : Thickets on dry sandy-clayey soil (abundant); prairie planted with Cassia siamea and edges of road; hard clay soil, after forest-fires; 1000-1750 m alt.
