Biology : Stout climber or trailer 1,8-6 m long, the foliage sometimes unpleasantly aromatically scented when crushed; stems obscurely ribbed, finely silky pubescent.
Ecology : Coastal grassland and bushland on sand; rain-forest edges; forest gallery; clearings; wooded savanna; "muhulu" edges; along river bank, by thickets, rather rare; 0-±1000 m alt.
