Biology : Erect or somewhat scrambling sticky shrub 0,6-1,8 m tall; stems pubescent, and when young also with dense longer yellow tubercular-based glandular hairs; smelling of balsam.
Ecology : Exposed mountain tops and granite hills; evergreen forest edges; montane grassland on shallow soil; rocky outcrop in Loudetia grassland; 700-2550 m alt.
  Comprises 2 subspp.
  Related to or identical with R. speciosa but very little material is yet available.
