Biology : Perennial herb with creeping rhizomes and erect stems from prostrate base,0,5->1m tall;stems unbranched or little branched,glabrous;male and female inflorescences branched,to >10cm long flattened panicles with small glomerules of flowers.
Ecology : Rain-forest; bamboo forest; often along streams and in ravines; sclerophyllous forest.
