  Can be confused with Strombosiopsis tetrandra. Distinct from S. gossweileri (fide Breteler 2007: 121). – Specimen Mildbraed 4454 (S Cameroon) determined in herb. as S. zenkeri is S. nigropunctata (cf. above).
