Ecology and distribution
Trop. Afr.
Biology : Shrub 1(-2) m tall, with often branched rhizome; frequently flowering just above ground level, after fire (dwarf plant).
Ecology : Open forest; savanna and dembos; on Kalahari sand; deciduous woodland and margins of seasonal swamps; 915-1700 m alt. Namibia.
