Biology : Rhizome elongate, 1-2 cm; leaves submerged (rarely some of 'them floating), broadly bilobed-divaricate; flowers blue or pink '(yellow in specim. from Angola), rather small (4-10 cm ), Original type material destroyed; two true gatherings known:
Ecology : Deep slow-moving water, rivers, lakes, pools. Exact localities in Angola and Zaire not indicated.
