Biology : Herb with globose corm 1-3,5x1-3 cm; leaves 2-6, produced with the flowers, linear, 5-85x0,3-1 cm, acute, sometimes with scabrid-serrulate margins; flowers 1-2, pinkish-purple; tepals to c. 5 cm long; capsule c. 1,5 cm long.
Ecology : Semi-evergreen bushland or woodland, in sandy soil or limestone gravel; open grazed grassland; wasteland; open hillside in ericaceous belt; 1200-3880 m alt.
