Biology : “Closely related to both Anthericum and Trachyandra from both of which it can be reliably distinguished only by the fruit. The trigonous capsule is deeply lobed, the lobes ± oblong in shape; the black seeds are circular in outline and ± discoid in shape” (J. R. I. Wood, A handbook of the Yemen flora: 403, 1997).
