Ecology and distribution
Trop. Afr.
Biology : Decumbent herb, rooting at the nodes, with erect branches to >15 cm high; stem sometimes fleshy, 4-angular.
Ecology : Margins of rain- and gallery forest; on rocks in mangrove; forest swamp; exposed rocky outcrops; inselberg. Fernando Poo (Bioko); introduced into Mascarene Is., Madagascar, Indonesia, West Indies.
