Trop. Afr.
Biology : Decumbent herb, rooting at the nodes, with erect branches to 16-30-40 cm long.
Ecology : Old cultivated land, palm-plantations, in wet sites; swamps, watersides; grassland, (riverine) forest; secondary bush, humid under-storey; 1-1200 m alt. Sudan: Imatong Mts. – Not mapped (see above under H. prostrata). Fernando Poo (Bioko).
