Ecology and distribution
Trop. Afr.
Ecology : from sea level up to 4000 m alt
There is a great morphological variation between populations, in part due to environmental factors, but also genetically determined, so the taxonomy of Ruppia is still unsatisfactory (den Hartog & Kuo, in Larkum & al., Seagrasses: 14-15, 2007).
