Ecology : Scattered tree grassland, after burning.
  c. 100 m alt.Close to T. pallidum A.DC.(S. Africa-Swaziland-Lesotho).Also similar to T.cymosum.In E. Africa the only other species with dichasial cymes is T.triflorum.Known only from the type collected in 1955.
