Biology : Herb 0,75-1,5 m tall, usually growing in small clumps; corm 1,8-4 cm Ø; leaves 6-8, lower 4-5 basal, 0,7-1,2 cm wide; stem erect, sometimes 1-branched; spike 18-55-flowered; bracts 1,7-3 cm long; flowers white, speckled red to pink; tube dark red, 1,8-3 cm long; tepals 2-2,3 cm long, the uppermost slightly larger.
Ecology : Stony grassy slopes; c. 800 m alt.
