Biology : Herb 55-85 cm tall; corm unknown; leaves 6, 2 ± basal and large, 4-5 mm wide, upper ones cauline; spike 10-18-flowered, secund, inflexed; flower bracts brown or rust-coloured above; flowers pale yellow or greenish, tepals unequal, the upper three 1,5-1,7 cm long; tepal markings if present unknown.
Ecology : Deciduous woodland; open grassland; very local distribution; 1600 m alt.
  Near G. crassifolius, G. zimbabweensis.
  Probably also in adjacent Mozambique.
