Ecology and distribution
Trop. Afr.
Biology : Herb 40-60 cm tall; corm 1,5 cm Ø; leaves 4-6, with blades narrowly lanceolate, 3-16x0,4-0,8 cm, grading imperceptibly into sheathing bract-like leaves; stem unbranched; spike 1-2-flowered; flower pale yellowish green; tube 6-7 cm long, tepals c. 2 cm long; capsule 2-2,5 cm long.
Ecology : Grassy meadows on rock terraces; c. 1000 m alt.
  Near G. aequinoctialis, G. bellus.
  Only known from the 2 syntypes collected in 1937. Not in S. Lisowski, Flore Rép. Guinée 1 (Scripta Bot. Belg. 41), 2009; perhaps considered as a synonym of G. aequinoctialis
