Biology : Herb 20-40 cm tall; corm c. 1,5 cm Ø; leaves 2-3, lower ± basal, upper cauline, 2-5 mm wide, usually falcate; spathes occasionally reddish, inner 2,5-5 cm long; flower blue with yellow nectar guides; outer tepals 1,8-3 cm long, inner 1,7-2,8 cm long.
Ecology : Variable. Near M. afro-orientalis, M. elliotii, M. natalensis.

Biol./Eco : perennial-Herb, Geophyte- Ht 0.2 - 0.4 m.in states: BOT, NAM
