Biology : Herb 0,5-1,5 m tall; bulb globose to ovoid, 3-8 cm Ø, with numerous bulbils; leaves 8-12, bases sheathing, linear, 0,5-1 m x 2-5 cm, glabrous, apex acuminate; ...capsule globose, c. 1 cm long, obtuse-trigonous.
Ecology : In S. Africa: warm moist habitats; rock ledges in semi-shade.
