Ecology and distribution
Trop. Afr.
Biology : Erect saprophytic herb 3-30 cm tall, bright yellow, with tuberous rhizome; stem simple with at top 2-7 sessile flowers; stem leaves scale-like 1-6 mm long; flowers not winged, 5-10 mm long, tube white rarely purple, lobes white to yellow; capsule obovoid, 2 mm long.
Ecology : Swampy forests; damp silty soil; 0-460 m alt.
  “Parasite” on roots of Lasiodiscus mannii (Léonard 1620, Zaire).
