Biology : Herb, perhaps evergreen, with creeping rhizome 2,5-3- ? cm long, 0,3-0,4 cm ; leaves 1-2; petiole 8-13 cm long, 0,2 cm with short hairs; sheath 2-3 cm long; blade broadly ovate, 5-8(-10)x4-6,5(-7,5) cm, base cordate, apex shortly cuspidate, venation reticulate, hairy beneath; inflorescence solitary, contemporary with the leaves; peduncle c. 1 cm long, 0,5 cm ; spathe not constricted, 3,8-4,2 cm long, broader at base, c. 5 mm , narrowing towards apex, ending in a point, upper part slightly twisted and opening by a lateral slit; spadix c. 1,2 cm long; infrutescent without remnants of spathe; berries globular, c. 5 mm .
Ecology : Along path in high bush, frequent.
  Closely related to S. zenkeri.
  Known from only 2 collections (Deighton 3960, 3021) made in 1940 and 1935, respectively.
