Biology : Herb 30-60 cm tall; corm 1,3-2 cm Ø, tunics ± fibrous, reticulate; leaves 5-7 mm wide; stem compressed, 2-winged below, 3-4-angled to winged above; pseudo-panicle with divaricate branching, ultimate branches 1-2-flowered, axes trigonous; flower zygomorphic, white to cream coloured, sometimes flushed to brown streaked in lower half and with a dark mark at base, sweet-scented; tube 2,5-4 cm long.
Ecology : Hard flat sandy ground in open or bush country; 450 m alt.
