Biology : Herb with stem above ground reduced to the inflorescence, or absent; underground part not seen; leaves colourless, rare or absent, scale-like, spreading, c. 2,5x1 mm; inflorescence 1-2-flowered; perianth tube gently S-shaped, lobes strongly unequal in length (differences from A. winkleri and A. insignis); capsule c. 2x6 mm, apex with seeds exposed, the placenta mass c. 2,2-5,5 mm raised from capsule cavity on the axile column.
Ecology : Understorey of evergreen forest; invisible unless in flower; 660 m alt.
  Only known from the type collected in 1955. Previously determined as A. winkleri.
  Critically endangered (< 50 individuals in a single site threatened by tree cutting).
