Biology : Epiphytic herb; stem 4-5 mm long; leaves ovate, 1,5-2x0,5 cm, apex pointed; inflorescences 2,8-3,6 cm long, zigzag at base, with 6-9 flowers clustered at apex; bracts larger than flowers, acuminate, 4-5 mm long, black, imbricate below; flowers 2,5-3,2 mm long; lip broadly triangular, 1,1-1,8x1-1,2 mm; spur conical, 1 mm long, or almost absent.
Ecology : Semi-deciduous disturbed lowland forest partially with banana and cocoa plantations, on fallen tree branches (Cameroon); montane forest with Parinari excelsa, Syzygium guineense (Rwanda); 532-2150 m alt.
  Related to B. maudiae. Similar to B. talbotii.
  Distribution area fragmented; the gap (the Congo Basin) between the populations “represents a poorly sampled zone”. Endangered.
