Biology : Glabrous shrub with stems c. 1 m long; leaves petiolate, thinly coriaceous, green, paler beneath, flushed red-violet when young, ± reddish on nerves beneath; corolla-tube red, calyx tubular, lobes reflexed; fruit unknown. – A striking species.
Ecology : Edges of montane forest and associated bushland, wooded grassland with Terminalia glaucescens; on various hosts (e. g. Entada abyssinica, Combretum molle, often Gnidia glauca).
  1300-2500 m alt.
  Known only from Bamenda Highlands (Cameroon). Red Data listed.
