Ecology : Montane moist and upland dry evergreen forest; on Olea, Strombosia, various Rutaceae.
  1650-2400 m alt. A member of the A. brunneus complex. Specimens from Uluguru Mts. (Tanzania) seem to be intermediate between A. pennatulus and A. krausei.
