Ecology : Edges of montane forest, riverine forest, generally higher-rainfall Brachystegia woodland, but in drier sites in S part of range; commonly on Ficus, Bridelia, various legumes, and other hosts.
  600-1900 m alt. Specimens from the Tanzania-Zambia border are exceptional: with puberulous peduncles and pedicels.
