Biology : Perennial, prostrate or sometimes climbing herb with several to many stems produced annually from their thickened, woody corticate bases, slender, herbaceous, usually not >80 cm long.
Ecology : Steppe with shrubs and succulents; 330-2340 m alt. Namibia, S. Africa; Madagascar. – Not in Zambabwe (confused with Cucumella bryoniifolia). – Disjunct area.
