Biology : Slender climber with simple tendrils; stems rarely becoming woody and developing a thin papery bark.
Ecology : Lake and river margins in woodland and wooded grassland; clay; sandy-muddy soil; sometimes in shade; 0-1100 m alt. S. Africa (Transvaal), Botswana; Arabia, Pakistan, India. Much resembling Dactyliandra welwitschii.
