Ecology and distribution
Trop. Afr.
Biology : Perennial usually prostrate herb to 4 m long; basal stems thickened with bark, arising from a thickened rootstock.
Ecology : Grassland and wooded grassland, Acacia woodland, rocky slopes; also in secondary vegetation and cultivated places; 1070-2800 m alt. C. pustulatus is a different species. Not in Somalia.
