Ecology and distribution
Trop. Afr.
Biology : Stems to 15-30 m long; leaves up to 1.2 m long; cirrus 60 cm long; leaflets 25-35 on each side of the rachis, linear-lanceolate or slightly sigmoid, regularly inserted and more or less equal in size; inflorescences 30-35 cm long; flowers 5-6 mm long and 2-3 mm wide; fruits more or less globose to sub-globose, 1.8-2.2 cm long and 1.6-2 cm in diameter.
Ecology : This species is common in open areas, roadside and forest gaps.
