Biology : Stems to 10 m long; leaves up to 60 m long, unarmed; cirrus 35-45 cm long; leaflets composed of 2-4 folds, broadly lanceolate, ovate or sigmoid; inflorescences, flowers and fruits unknown.
Ecology : Growing in swamp forest.
  It is critical to collect and thoroughly study the reproductive organs of this still imperfectly known species in order to better establish its morphologic and taxonomic identity.
