Biology : Deciduous herb to 50 cm tall, 60 cm wide; tuber subglobose, 5 cm Ø; pseudostem c. 10 cm long; leaves 1-2, petiole 17-30 cm long; blade radiate; (all) leaflets obovate-elliptic, 8-12, 7-26x1,5-6,5 cm, margin entire or serrulate, apex long acuminate, base cuneate; peduncle 10-20 cm long; spathe 16-39 cm long; tube 6,5-13 cm long, outside glaucous or greenish-yellow suffused with purple; limb broadly auriculate at base, curved forward, both surfaces glossy, brown or very dark blackish-purple at base, upper part olive-green with dark brown veins, long acuminate; spadix 8-17 cm long; berries unknown.
Ecology : Grassland associated with forest; 2000-3450 m alt.
