Biology : Creeping herb becoming climbing to 6 m height; stem densely and finely verrucose, 2-5 mm Ø; leaf petiole 7-11 cm long; blade 10-22x4-8 cm, lanceolate to oblong-lanceolate, asymmetric, base cuneiform to obtuse, shortly decurrent on the petiole, apex falciform, with transparent lines; inflorescences terminal, 1-6 in each sympodium; peduncle 3-9 cm long; spathe 2-3 cm long, green, not constricted towards base; spadix cream, enclosed, with thick stipe 3-7 mm long; berries green becoming orange, finally red.
Ecology : Forest gallery; stream banks in forest, sometimes abundant; (200-)700-1600 m alt.
  Near C. insulana, C. sanagensis.
