Biology : Climbing herb to 1-2 m long; stem slender with short internodes giving the appearance of a tufted foliage, leaf petiole 2-4,5 cm long, furrowed; blade lanceolate, 3,5-12,5x0,5-2,5 cm, base narrowed, apex slightly curved and long-acuminate; inflorescences terminal, 1-3 in each sympodium; peduncle c. 1 cm long; spathe c. 1,5 cm long, green, becoming brown; spadix white; berries depressed-subglobose, 6-9 mm long, scarlet, base tapering.
Ecology : Evergreen and semi-deciduous forests; riverine forest; 60-500 m alt.
  Near C. parviflora. – The identity of the species recorded by Chatelain & al., Cartes distrib. pl. Côte d’Ivoire: 214, 2011, is uncertain.
