Biology : Herb to 15 cm tall with a very short rhizome; roots tuber-like, fasciculated; leaves 2-5, rosulate, lanceolate, 8-14x c. 1,5 cm, acute, margins hyaline; peduncle scabrid, leafless, 5-7 cm long; raceme simple, rachis pubescent; pedicels suberect, 3 mm long, articulated near middle; flower 1(-2) per node; tepals white, 6 mm long, 3-veined; capsule triangular, indistinctly transversely ridged, 6-9x9-12 mm, emarginate.
Ecology : Ecology unknown in Ethiopia; Acacia, Commiphora bushland, with shallow drained soils, on limestone; often in alluvial soil; fallows; 250-1000 m alt.
  Exact locality in Ethiopia unknown.
