Biology : Herb with tuberous roots; the following characters given in comparison with C. nubicum: leaves present at flowering time (not so in C. nubicum), 2-2,5 cm broad, margins scabrid-ciliate; inflorescence well branched, to 60 cm long; pedicels 1-1,5 cm long in fruit; perianth 1,1-1,3 cm; tepals 0,11 cm broad, dull green, 3-nerved; fruit 4x6 mm, transversally ribbed.
Ecology : Dry rocky ground.
