Semi-aquatic herb with slender straggling branched stems (on the soil) putting forth shoots and roots at nodes; leaf blades filiform; inflorescence pseudolateral with 1-2 sessile spikelets, lanceolate, 5-12x3 mm; glumes ovate, 2 mm long; stamens 3; nutlet inflated, c. 2x2 mm. |
