Ecology : Sandy soils or on limestone in open Acacia-Commiphora bushland; 60-500 m alt.
  Very common in southern Somalia, especially near the Kenya border. It has been collected in Kenya only in the Galole area, but it should also occur throughout the bushland toward the eastern border (Carter, 1994).
