Ecology : Usually terrestrial (roots in humus or moss); on granitic boulder with bush: Dissotis leonensis, Eugenia pobeguinii, the Mesanthemum under shade; humid or mossy rockfaces of sandstone inselbergs; 300-1825 m alt.
  According to Cheek & al. (2004), then known from only 8 sites, 5 of which in Sierra Leone.
