Ecology : Wet ground in grassy and weedy places; wet ground on sandy or gritty soils; rather damp field formerly cultivated with Sorghum, with tiny Cyperaceae and Commelinaceae (Angola); 1500-1920 m alt. – Seldom collected.
  Distinguished by its extremely small size and tiny capitula.
