Biology : Terrestrial herb; tubers ± ovoid, 2-3x1-1,5 cm; flowering stem 52 cm tall, erect, stout, leafy; cauline leaves 16, sheathing,imbricate, ovate-lanceolate, 5,5x2,3 cm; inflorescence 16 cm long, dense, many-flowered; bracts lanceolate-ovate, acuminate, 25 mm long; pedicel and ovary 10 mm long; dorsal sepal obovate-elliptic, 7,5-8x5,5 mm, cucullate, with spur near middle 7 mm long, slightly swollen, apex blunt; lateral sepals obliquely oblong-elliptic, 6x4 mm; petals 5 mm long, 3 mm wide, apex expanded and 2-lobed, lobes ± equal in length and size, anterior lobe undulate and minutely erose; lip linear, acute, 4x0,4 mm.
Ecology : Ecology unknown; collected near the source of a river; 1600 m alt.
  Related to D. ochrostachya but petals ± equally 2-lobed and lip short. Also near D. danielae and D. welwitschii. According to Geerinck in Taxonom. 32: 21, 2011, a synonym of D. ochrostachya, and he is probably right.
  Known only from the type collected in 1969 (Lisowski & al. 560).
